A Spark in the Forest is an action game about the self-destructive way that we sometimes live our lives. When unsavory creatures have taken up residence in your forest, you need to locate some fire to fight them off.
It will probably take most players 10 - 15 minutes to play through
- No combat, just roll your way around various enemies with the "b" button
- Soundtrack featuring orchestral bops
- Aspen trees
About the developer:
My name is Caleb and I am a solo developer from the USA. This is my first game for the playdate. I noticed that many of the games on the playdate are light-hearted and playful (which of course there's nothing wrong with), and I wanted to create something that told a story about deeper, more bitter themes. I hope you enjoy it.

I'm a bit surprised that the storage capacity of this game is the largest I have seen so far...BTW, the bundleID field is missing from pdxinfo.
Thanks for your feedback! It was the audio that was causing the game to be so large, so I've compressed it and added the bundleID, so it should be good to go now. Please let me know if you run into any other problems. Thanks again!
